Tourism in Cullera has been already stablished for a while for the national market but has been under the radar for international travelers.

Nonetheless the recent years have been more dynamic, and more international-oriented due to an continued institutional effort.

Beaches & Mediterranean Sea

Cullera is primarily known for its 14 kilometers of crystal clear beaches.

And knowing the importance of this, the municipality puts much effort to mantain the beaches clean, accesible and with many services to offer.

All of that makes the beaches of Cullera "Blue Flag" certificated, indicating they are firts-class beaches to enjoy.

History

Before being known for its tourism, Cullera has been a place with large history.

Proof of that can be found from pre-historic settlements to modern arquitecture.

Cullera has witnessed prehistoric settlements, roman expansion, pirate looting, muslim occupacy, reconquest and modern history among some other important events.

You can still find construction and buildings from these times and enjoy a visit to some museums. One of them is specially unique, the museum of the pirate Dragut, to remember one of the tragic assaults Cullera suffered back in the medieval ages.

Mediterranean Gastronomy

Being ranked as one of the most healthy diets, mediterranean gastronomy comes is many flavours.

For example, you might have heard about paella, the most well known dish in Valencia area, but this dish is just one of the many. You'll be able to enjoy rice in many flavours, fideua, fish, seafood, delicious vegetables and of course, a variety of tapas.

And of course Summer is filled with plenty of events, being the Medusa music festival the biggest one, which reunites more than 200.000 music passionates to party with the the most famous DJ's.
